AGL is proud to be an inaugural partner with the Climate Institute Climate Partners program. AGL is Australia’s largest privately owned and renewable generation company and Australia’s leading retailer of electricity and gas. Personally, I am proud to work for AGL as it is a forward thinking company that is committed to sustainable operations.
AGL is Australia’s second oldest existing corporate structure (with another Climate Partner Westpac being the oldest) so we know a thing or two about what it takes to be a sustainable business. We are looking forward to working with the Climate Institute and other Climate Partners to work towards reducing Australia’s greenhouse gas footprint. We will consistently advocate for a broad based emissions trading scheme and believe that this should be complemented by a Renewable Energy Target and energy efficiency trading scheme.
