The global climate is changing and it is very likely that this is primarily due to humans releasing greenhouse gases from burning coal, oil and gas. The “best estimates” of the scientific community indicate further increases in global temperature of 2-4ºC over this century. These temperature increases would take global teperatures to levels not seen in the past 120,000 years and possibly one million years.
